For the first time in Iron Panther history, we have become the World Champions in FRC 2019 Destination: Deep Space! A huge thanks to our sponsors and families who have helped make our dream a reality!!
Our FRC team, along with 973 The Greybots, 1323 Madtown Robotics, and 4201 The Vitruvian Bots, competed in Einstein representing the Newton Subdivison and finished the 2019 Houston Championships as the new World Champions!
Though we started as 64th place out of 67 teams in the Newton Subdivision, Iron Panthers finished in rank 21 and was the second pick for the Newton first-seed alliance. From there, we played against the winners of the five other alliances in the Einstein playoffs. Going into the Einstein round was already an amazing position and our team was ecstatic. Despite early difficulties, our team pushed through with extreme perseverance, and we managed to make it to the final championship round. We lost our first match, but we kept working hard and won our second match and the tiebreaker, winning 2-1 against a reigning World Champion team.
Our 2019 season has come to a close. But that's not all! Make sure to check back soon for all of our plans with outreach and the off-season!
